Kudos to our considerate golfers

Since the launch of our Care for Course – Sime, We Care programme, we noticed that golfers – both members and public – are increasingly making efforts to repair divot and ball marks as well as rake the bunkers after their turns.

This is a heartening sight as the wet weather has made it difficult for our ground staff to keep Sime course in playable condition. Every effort on the part of golfers helps make their job more manageable.

Our course marshals have diligently gone on the course daily to spot golfers who have gone out of the way to repair the divots they made and even those left by other golfers. Some even helped to replenish the sand which has been washed away by the rain.

To date, we have identified 96 golfers in the month of February who have displayed exemplary behaviour in caring for the course. One of them is our Course Ambassador Ee Chye Hock, who was presented a cooler box of refreshing drinks and a Keppel Club pitch fork by Vice-Captain Wong Kok Leong. This is a small token from the Club in recognising his efforts.

We hope that all our Sime golfers will emulate him in practising good golf etiquette. Let us all do our part to care for our course, every small act counts in making our game more pleasurable.
