Spotlight on the ‘bumble bees’ of Keppel Club
You see them everywhere in Keppel Club, going quietly about their cleaning tasks to keep the Club spick and span, and ensuring that essential supplies are promptly stocked up. In this article, we feature our cleaning staff and changing room attendants, whose humble contributions keep the Club running like clockwork.
We are incredibly blessed for this diligent and dedicated team who go above and beyond to ensure a welcoming and comfortable environment for our members and guests. The team is led by Ms Sally Chua, Senior Housekeeping Executive, who patrols the clubhouse daily, keeping a sharp eye on areas that need repair and rectification. On the days when Tee Top Restaurant had a full house, Ms Chua even stepped in to help serve and clear the tables. She is the exemplification of true teamwork and service excellence in Keppel Club.
As you head to the men and ladies’ changing rooms, you are greeted by the cheerful and friendly smiles of our service attendants, several of whom have been with Keppel Club for many years since our Bukit Chermin days. Their years of service at the Club have fostered a deep connection with our members. Always ready to assist with a wide smile, they make every guest feel welcome.
The team takes pride in providing members and visitors with a pleasant Keppel experience. Working in rotating shifts, the first group reports for work at 6.45am, to serve golfers for their morning flights, and the last shift ends at 9pm.
In what seems like an easy job, our attendants are kept busy throughout the day. Besides issuing locker keys and over 200 pieces of towels daily, they also stock up fresh towels and bundle up soiled ones for washing and replenish toiletries and essential supplies in the changing rooms. On top of these, they also have to ensure that toilet rolls are promptly replenished in all the toilets within the clubhouse.
Our cleaning crew comprises a group of young and energetic staff, most of whom hail from Malaysia. They are the unsung heroes who are responsible for the pristine condition of the entire clubhouse premises. From three offices to the car park, restaurants to buggy station, the team work tirelessly to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Despite being far away from their families and loved ones, they display an unwavering commitment and professionalism in their duties.
A Heartfelt Appreciation
Keppel Club would like to express its deepest gratitude to our hardworking housekeeping team. Their dedication and commitment to service excellence bring about a welcoming and pleasant environment for everyone at the Club.
So, the next time you meet a member of our housekeeping team, please take a moment to show your appreciation to them.
