Keppel Club juniors show tenacity in SGA’s Junior Inter-Club League 2024
Keppel Club hosted the final leg of the Singapore Golf Association (SGA)’s 2024 Junior Inter-Club League (Junior ICL) on Sept 16, 2024. The Club was represented by four of our junior golfers in the “B” Division: Maeghan Emilee Senti, Elise Zang Yuqi, Dylan Sean Ng Ooi Khiang and Keagan Scoot Ng Ooi Tong.
The SGA’s Junior ICL provides a pathway for junior golfers to realise their full potential in golf. With various divisions for different age groups, it gives young golfers the opportunity to compete at their respective levels and qualify for SGA’s future and junior squads or for international junior tournaments.
Keppel Club’s junior golfers persevered under sweltering condition and put up a comeback fight with Maeghan and team emerging as singles and team champions respectively. But ranking is of secondary importance. Said Eugene Heng, Keppel Club Youth Development Chairman: “We want to give our Keppel Club’s junior golfers the opportunities to test and apply the skills and techniques that they learned during their training, both physical and mental. They must learn to play under different and adverse conditions.”
