An overwhelming turnout for our first Golf Clinic at the Range
Keppel Club is committed to being the golf hub for public golf development, and so on Nov 22, 2024, the Club hosted its first Golf Clinic at the Range for members of Learn Golf@Sime (LGS), Get Handicap@Sime (GHS) and Friends of Sime (FOS). Originally planned for a small group of 15 participants, the clinic had to be extended to a larger group due to higher-than-expected sign-ups.
There was still a persistent drizzle when the session started at 7pm, but this did not dampen the spirits of the participants or stop them from coming. About 30 participants attended, there were couples and family groups, with the youngest being just 14 years old.
Golf coaches Zac and Razlan were present to guide the golfers on how to drive the ball further and straight. Due to the big turnout, the participants had to take turns to practise and try out the techniques taught, while those waiting in line were treated to complimentary Tee Top’s signature Fried Seafood Laksa and drinks.
The first golf clinic went surprisingly smooth, and much positive feedback was received. One shared that the golf clinic “exceeded all of his expectations – the pro’s tips were invaluable and food was fantastic”! Another liked the personalised advice they received from the coaches and felt the tip could help to improve their games.
A student of our Learn Golf@Sime programme suggested to schedule the programme into cohorts, so as to provide them with opportunities to meet and socialise with fellow new golfers.
We thank all our participants for their enthusiastic participation. If you have missed our first clinic, fret not, for there will be more to come. Watch out for our announcements in your mailbox or follow us on our social media for updates.
