Annyeonghaseyo, Chef Jin Yunshi
If you have visited Tee Top Restaurant recently, you would have known that a new Korean selection has been added to our menu. This is brought to you by our new Korean Chef, Ms Jin Yunshi, who joined our F&B team in January this year.
Though a newbie, Chef Jin got to work immediately. Tapping on over 40 years of experience, she created a whole menu of Korean delights within days of her arrival.
Chef Jin, who hails from China, is of Korean descent. Before coming to Singapore, she operated her own Korean restaurants in China. In 2008, she decided to take a leap of faith to explore opportunities out of China. She started a Korean restaurant in Singapore for a year, before the challenges of running a business led her to join a Korean Restaurant at the National University of Singapore (NUS).
Of her menu for Tee Top, Chef Jin shared that the dishes that she prepares are authentically Korean and she does not change the recipes to suit local palates. And unlike her last tenure at NUS which offers a simpler selection of Korean fare to students, cooking for members here is a different experience as it requires a more extensive and varied menu.
Since Tee Top launched its Korean menu, the F&B team has received many positive comments from diners. Many are delighted with the option of a new cuisine. Among the top dishes ordered are Tteokbokki, Seafood Tofu Soup, Kimchi Soup and Stone Bowl Pork Belly. If you have yet to savour our Korean delights, order them on your next trip to Tee Top, and drop by the kitchen to say Annyeonghaseyo to Chef Jin.
