Patriotism meets play on the greens
Keppel Club marked this year’s National Day in true celebratory spirit with a specially organised golf game that drew an overwhelming response from members as well as public golfers.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, many participants turned up dressed in red and white to reflect the colours of the national flag. A few enthusiastic groups even went the extra mile to decorate their buggies with creative National Day themes, showcasing pride on the course.
The good cheer continued at Thirsty Monkey (formerly known as the Beer Garden), where golfers were treated to light bites and refreshments. Laughter and friendly banter filled the air as players recharged during the stopover.
The weather, too, could not have been more perfect — breezy and pleasantly warm, providing an ideal setting for an enjoyable day of golf and fellowship.
In the end, it was not just a game, but a memorable occasion that brought the golfers together in the spirit of unity, fun, and national pride. Events like this remind us that while golf may be the common thread, it is the friendships and shared experiences that truly enrich the Keppel Club spirit.
