A touch of Peranakan Heritage at Ladies Fun Game
On April 10, 2026, Keppel Club hosted the Ladies Fun Game, welcoming 96 golfers for a day of spirited play and elegant presence on the greens. The event was co-organised by the Singapore Ladies Golf Association (SLGA), reflecting a shared commitment growth of women golfers in Singapore.
A key highlight of the morning was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Keppel Club, the Singapore Ladies Golf Association (SLGA) and the Singapore Golf Association (SGA), strengthening collaboration and supporting women golfers in Singapore.
The competition commenced with tee-off right after the MOU signing and continued into an evening of celebration with a delightful spread of “Bibik & Baba” themed cuisine, including an assortment of savoury Nyonya kueh inspired by rich Peranakan culture traditions. Every golfer put in great effort to dress in exquisite Peranakan outfits, adding vibrant colour and elegance to the occassion, and each participant was presented with a handheld fan as a thoughtful gift.
The evening was made even more meaningful with appreciation extended to Mizuno and the Singapore Golf Association for their generous support, which greatly enhanced the overall experience. It concluded with a prize presentation and a sure-win lucky draw for all golfers, recognising their participation and rounding off a memorable day of golf, friendship and celebration.
