A tribute to our former Chairman,
Mr Fock Siew Wah
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our former Chairman, Mr Fock Siew Wah, on 6 January 2025.
The late Mr Fock was appointed Chairman of Keppel Club in 2005 and served with distinction for 11 years until 2016. During his tenure, he demonstrated exemplary leadership and a deep commitment to our Club and community.
Under Mr Fock’s stewardship, Keppel Club achieved significant milestones in corporate social responsibility, particularly through the fundraising efforts of the Keppel Charity Games. In 2013, his guidance and dedication enabled us to reach a historic milestone of raising over $1 million — a testament to his vision and passion for giving back.
Beyond his philanthropic contributions, Mr Fock played a pivotal role in advancing the Club’s infrastructure and member experiences. He presided over key events, including the groundbreaking ceremony for the extension of the swimming pool annexe at Bukit Chermin and the opening of the new Tee Top Golfers’ Terrace.
As we reflect on Mr Fock’s leadership, we also celebrate the legacy he has left behind — a legacy defined by integrity, dedication, and a commitment to excellence.
Mr Fock Siew Wah, or Chairman Fock to many, has been for me a boss and mentor, confidant and friend. Having served under his Chairmanship in PSA and also continued in his footsteps in Keppel Club, it has been a privilege to learn from him and to continue his good works, one example of which is the Keppel Charity. His passion for people is exemplary and he always finds time to engage, to advise or just to befriend. His impact has been far-reaching, be it in businesses like PSA or Pavilion, in social clubs like Keppel Club, or in his church involvements, and he is admired by many for his immense experience, his clear thinking and his astute words of advice. At this time of his passing, we want to celebrate his life and acknowledge his contributions, and wish for strength and solace for all in his family.
Tan Chong Meng
Club Chairman
The passing of Chairman Fock, as I used to call him fondly, saddened me grievously.
As Chairman of Keppel Club, he was my pillar of strength through my years as Vice-President and then President of the Club.
Although not frequently at the Club due to his other much heavier commitments, he somehow had an uncanny grasp of the matrix involved in the Club’s policies . Hence, it was always a pleasure for me to meet up with him for our regular sessions to update him on club matters and issues.
I have gained tremendously from his wisdom and guidance.
He will be sadly missed by all at the Keppel Club, particularly his vibrant presence and passion during our Annual Charity Golf event.
I will keep true to the trust and teachings he has imparted to me. May he rest in peace.
