Catching up with old friends from across the Causeway
On July 12, 2025, 120 golfers from Keppel Club and Kelab Rahman Putra Malaysia (KRPM) gathered at the beautiful Sime course for a reciprocal game.
The day started off with a simple local delight that is familiar to people on both sides of the Causeway – roti prata, before heading to the putting green for a group photo.
The game was played with members from both clubs pairing up as a team. This reciprocal game was an opportunity to renew friendship, foster camaraderie and enjoy our shared love for golf.
The weather was absolutely ideal for golf – an overcast sky kept conditions cool and comfortable, with occasional gentle breeze gracing participants as they took on the Sime course. And the kicker? There was not a drop of rain in sight!
After a day of friendly competition and laughter on the course, the camaraderie continued into the evening as the guests were treated to a sumptuous buffet dinner at Berlayer Room. Members of both clubs mingled, shared stories, and reflected on the day’s highlights.
Prizes were presented to the top-performing teams, and the excitement didn’t stop there — a lucky draw added to the fun that saw many happy faces and big smiles.
In a heartfelt gesture, KRPM’s Club President Rena See led the visitors to express their appreciation to Keppel Club President Lai Mun Onn, Club Captain Maniam Stacy Anthony, all Keppelites and staff for the warm hospitality extended to them.
As the evening drew to a close, the Malaysian guests boarded their coaches for the journey back across the Causeway, bidding fond farewells and promising to host Keppel Club members in return. Team KRPM, we hope to see you again!
