GlenDronach: Simply sophisticated
Whisky enthusiasts came together on the evening of Aug 22, 2024 for a whisky masterclass focused on GlenDronach’s whisky offerings. It was an exciting atmosphere, the air was alive with vibrant notes of the various whiskies. As the whisky sommelier started going into the storied history of the 198-year-old distillery, participants were able to get very up close and personal with GlenDronach’s Traditionally Peated, Port Wood, Cask strength, Sherry Cask Matured 12 year and 15 year whiskies.
Of the night’s experience, Aston, an avid whisky enthusiast shared: “To me, whisky is incredibly interesting, knowing that each distillery and expression has its own style, flavour and characteristics. For us who are not familiar with GlenDronach it is very insightful to get to taste the various offerings.
The food paired well but the highlight of the event was simply meeting like-minded people and exchanging perspectives on the whiskies we were tasting. It was a very rewarding experience and one that I would definitely want to have again.”
Great times were had by all, as time passed and whisky flowed; new friendships were forged with fellow whisky lovers, and smiles were all around. As the evening wound down, participants who purchased any bottle of GlenDronach were entered into a lucky draw, with GlenDronach’s exquisite Parliament 21 year whisky as the prize. Ultimately this rarity was won by one of our lucky members, Chooi Khai Pheng, who bagged the Parliament 21 year.
