Happy hour with whisky and friends
The weekend kicked in earlier than usual on the Thursday evening of July 25 as about 50 whisky lovers convened at Berlayer Room for an evening of drinks and food. This reception was sponsored by John Walk & Sons and invitations were extended to members who had met the purchase criteria to attend this event.
From as early as 6pm, some of the invited members were seen strolling into the Berlayer Room. Besides a free flow of XR 21 whisky, participants were also treated to a sumptuous spread which included everybody’s favourite local laksa which had to be replenished very quickly.
Friendly exchanges and toasts of “yam seng” were the order of the evening as members went around the tables to catch up with friends and fellow whisky lovers. For three participants, Mr Alvin Goh, Mr Dennis Koh and Mr Barry Ng, it was their lucky night for they each walked away with a bottle of whisky in the lucky draw.
Although the next day was still a working day, our members were relaxed and happy to hang around till late. If you have missed this whisky night, join us for the next one on Aug 22. We will be expecting to see some familiar faces again.
