Hosting old friends from Kelab Golf Batu Pahat
It was a day of camaraderie as Keppel Club welcomed 54 golfers from Kelab Golf Batu Pahat (KGBP) for a highly anticipated reciprocal game on Dec 19, 2025.
The morning started with a slight delay at the Causeway immigration checkpoint, but our guests arrived in time for a light breakfast and the shotgun start. Excitement filled the air as KGBP members played on the Sime Course. While the competition was strong, the true highlight was the muhibbah spirit, the friendship and respect that define our long-standing relationship.
Keppel Club Captain Anthony Maniam gave a speech celebrating over 40 years of ties between Keppel Club and KGBP. He also recalled the last reciprocal game in 2015, when our members visited them in Johor.
After the game, players gathered for dinner to share stories from the day. We thank the KGBP committee and members for making the journey. These games are the heartbeat of our club and help strengthen our connections within the regional golfing community.
We congratulate our friends from KGPB on their victory in this friendly game, and look forward to many more years of friendly competition with our friends from Johor.
