Keppel Charity Golf 2025 raises $1.5 million for 17 charities

The 53rd edition of Keppel Charity Golf (KCG) concluded on Sept 7 at Sime Course with an inspiring display of generosity and fellowship, raising $1.5 million for 17 charitable organisations. Held across two weekends on Aug 30, 31, Sept 6 and 7, the event welcomed Mr Jeffrey Siow, Acting Minister for Transport and Senior Minister of State for Finance, as Guest-of-Honour at the finale.

This year’s beneficiaries included organisations supporting the mentally challenged, the physically disabled, caregivers, and the socially marginalised.

Unlike traditional charity golf events that end with gala dinners, KCG once again distinguished itself with unique on-course experiences. Golfers enjoyed novelty games such as Circle-in-One and Nearest-to-Line, while the enchanting Secret Garden Mansion delighted all with its extraordinary spread of local favourites like Mee Rebus to indulgent dishes such as Black Angus Rib-eye and Provençal Lamb, served in an immersive setting inspired by the charm of old Shanghai.

Beyond the fund-raising success, golfers shared glowing feedback about the event. Many praised it as “well-organised,” “fantastic,” and “memorable,” with several promising, “We will come back next year.” The positive sentiments reflected the dedication of the Club in creating a meaningful and enjoyable experience for all.

The Club also took the opportunity to honour its late former Chairman, Mr Fock Siew Wah, who held many directorships and chairmanships in both the private and public sectors. Under his leadership, KCG fund-raising rose from $150,000 in 2005 to over $1 million in 2013. Since then, the event has consistently raised more than $1 million annually and, to date, has raised $13 million, benefitting 50 charities.

The Fock Siew Wah SMU Grace Scholarship was unveiled on Sept 7 at the event, honouring Mr Fock’s legacy of service, leadership and compassion, and supporting future generations of students. The scholarship, which will benefit 11 students with financial needs each year, is made possible through the generosity of six founding donors: Pavilion Capital, PSA Corporation, Temasek Holdings, Mr Dilhan Pillay Sandrasegara, Mr Tan Chong Meng and Mr Tow Heng Tan.

A four-minute video commemorating the life and achievements of the late Mr Fock was shown and moving tributes were delivered by Club Chairman Tan Chong Meng and Ms Chan Wai Ching, Chief Corporate Officer of Temasek.

KCG 2025 ended on a high note, filled with generosity, laughter, and friendship. With strong support from our golfers, partners, and donors, the spirit of giving at Keppel Club continues to grow — and we look forward to welcoming everyone back next year.
