On the road to Kuala Lumpur to meet our “family” again
Our “brothers and sisters” from Kelab Golf Negara Subang (KGNS) visited us in April this year, and a date was set for our members to meet them again at their home club. So, from July 5 to 8, our members happily embarked on a road trip to Kuala Lumpur (KL) to meet our “family” from KGNS. While we were there in KL, the group also took advantage of the trip and visited three other golf courses.
In the wee hours at 6am on July 5, we met at the Club for the coach to take us to our destination while some others chose to drive there. With all name tags given out and luggage loaded up, the golf expedition to our neighbouring state began.
First stop was the Seremban International Golf Club. Its course layout and terrains were narrow with undulating fairways, reminding us of our beloved Bukit Chermin course. After the game, we were transferred to St Giles Hotel@Mid Valley for the night. With its strategic location in the shopping belt of Mid Valley, some of us were able to squeeze in some shopping while others chilled with a drink or two at THE BAR°N.
The second day was reserved for our “brothers and sisters” from KGNS. Members of both clubs were ecstatic to meet one another again, hugs and handshakes were exchanged, and a group photo was taken before the two groups were paired for a friendly match. The lunch hosted by KGNS was sumptuous, with a surprise durian treat for our durian lovers.
More enjoyment awaited the members on the third day as we headed to Kelab Rahman Putra Malaysia, and even sneaked in some time for a massage, a durian feast and more “makan”.
For our final game in KL, we were treated to a stunning experience at Glennmarie Golf Club. Four days zipped by in a blink of an eye, but for many of us, this short adventure has been an exhilarating experience to share with those who had missed the trip.
