Slàinte Mhath! An evening of whisky discovery at Keppel Club

On Thursday, May 8, 2025, whisky enthusiasts gathered at the Berlayer Room of Keppel Club for an intimate and engaging Whisky Masterclass — an appreciation of Tamnavulin whisky.

The guest speaker for the evening was Mr Dean Rosen, who filled the audience with his insights into the world of Tamnavulin whisky. He has many years of training and working in several single malt scotch distilleries, and is now a single malt whisky expert. 

He guided the audience through its fascinating history and introduced three unique expressions from the Tamnavulin Distillery: the Double Cask, the Sherry Cask Edition, and the French Cabernet Sauvignon Cask Finish.

Each whisky brought its own distinct character and story, making the tasting session both informative and enjoyable. The audience learned not only the technical aspects of whisky production but also the heritage and passion behind each bottle.

When the traditional Scottish toast, “Slàinte Mhath”, meaning “good health,” was introduced, glasses were raised around the room. The toast marked a special moment of shared appreciation and set the tone for the rest of the evening.

With a relaxed atmosphere, great whisky, good food, and lively conversation, it was truly a night to remember for all who attended.
