A fiesta to remember
Keppel Club held its first afternoon tea dance party, Latin Fiesta, on Nov 22, 2025. Organised by the Swimming & Entertainment Sub-committee, with the event led by Ms Doris Soh and emceed by Mr Daren Bek, the afternoon brought members together for lively cha-cha, rumba, bolero and upbeat Latin rhythms.
The floor quickly filled with dancers, as the live band, Cool Jazz in the East, delivered an energetic mix that kept everyone moving throughout. Between sets, the atmosphere was kept flowing with tracks played by the club’s in-house DJ, Amin. A light afternoon spread prepared by Tee Top complemented the relaxed and friendly ambience.
A surprise birthday celebration for four members added an extra touch of joy, and the afternoon concluded with a festive medley of Christmas songs.
A total of 51 members and guests attended, with positive feedback received from all tables. Many shared that they had a wonderful time, praising the lively music, good food, friendly atmosphere and smooth organisation. Several also expressed interest in joining future social dance events.
Latin Fiesta proved to be a memorable gathering of music, dance and camaraderie, and we look forward to organising more of such events for our members.
