Savouring sake: An evening of fine pairings

On Nov 20, 2025, Keppel Club hosted an intimate Sake Dinner Pairing, bringing together members and guests for an evening of fine cuisine and various premium sakes.

Certified sake sommelier Ryoji Nagata from the Japan Sommelier Association guided guests through a four-course menu, with each dish paired to showcase the distinct flavours of Tokyo Zakari Junmai, Tokyo Zakari Junmai Daiginjo and Hirai Junmai.

The menu offered a delightful range of textures and tastes, from delicate popiah with geoduck to comforting stir-fried yakisoba with kurobuta pork, ending with a refreshing ice chendol dessert.

Lucky draw winners walked away with a bottle of Tokyo Zakari Junmai, adding an extra highlight to the evening.

The Sake Dinner Pairing provided both an enjoyable and educational experience, giving guests a deeper appreciation of the craftsmanship behind Japan’s finest sakes.
