Creativity shines at Keppel Club

Keppel Club showcased its creativity when it hosted SAFRA’s 35th Annual Golf Championship on Sept 28, 2025.

The buffet dinner carried a 60s and 70s theme, with Berlayer Room transformed into a retro wonderland complete with heritage backdrops of old streets, coffee shops, shophouses, and lively bars. At the entrance, an arch with the iconic “Great World City” signage welcomed guests, setting the tone for an evening of reminiscence.

Adding to the atmosphere, Keppel Club staff dressed in period uniforms and costumes, posing as guards, a Samsui woman, and a postman, while vintage touches such as a barber’s chair, provision shop, and hawker stalls further enhanced the authentic ambience.

The creativity of Team Keppel Club exceeded the expectations of both the organisers and participants. Event DJ Daryl Ng, who has attended many functions, shared that none was as creative as Keppel Club’s. He was particularly impressed by the team’s meticulous attention to detail in decorating the stalls and mock-up provision shop — a signature touch that made Keppel Club stand out.
