Rising stars tee off at the Singapore Junior Golf Championship
Keppel Club recently hosted the Singapore Junior Golf Championship (SJGC) from June 4-7, 2024. Organised by the Singapore Golf Association (SGA), SJGC serves as a crucible where future champions are forged. This year was no exception, with 105 participants from 16 countries, witnessing some of the region’s most promising young golfers.
Jayden Loh, one of the competitors, summed up his experience thus: “The terrain was very challenging, it was tough. At times I wanted to throw my putter into the pond. The weather was also a significant hurdle, but we did the best we could, and I ultimately enjoyed myself.”
Keppel Club is proud to back junior golf initiatives such as the SJGC 2024. They are the vital efforts that nurture young talents and safeguard the future of our cherished sport.
Showcasing their grit and determination, the young golfers overcame Singapore’s tropical heat, unpredictable rain, and Sime course’s hilly terrain. From all of us here at Keppel Club, we extend our congratulations to the champions!
