Keep your cool even when
temperatures are soaring

Is the sweltering heat getting to you? Don’t let it dampen your golf game. Here are some tips to help you stay safe and comfortable.
1. Dress appropriately
Choose light-coloured clothes or synthetic fabric to stay cool and comfortable. Complement with a hat or visor to shield your face from the damaging sun rays.
2. Select morning or evening tee times
Morning and evening temperatures are lower, you may wish to consider this when booking for your next flight.
3. Hydrate yourself
Choose water or electrolyte-rich sports drink over alcohol, caffeine and high-sugar content drinks to replenish energy. As a rule of thumb, it is advisable to take a sip after every shot you hit, or at the very least, have a few every time you step off the green before heading to the next hole.

4. Apply sunblock
Before heading out on the golf course, apply sunblock on all exposed skin to avoid skin damage and sunburns. An SPF of at least 30 is recommended.
5. Cooling off
Apply cold compress or a wet towel to your neck to cool down between strokes.
6. Seek shelter in shaded areas
Choose a shaded spot to park your buggy.

7. Take it easy
Listen to your body, do not overexert yourself. If feeling unwell or experience discomfort such as fatigue, weakness or dizziness, alert your flight mates or contact our marshals at 8366 3050 (between 7am and 7pm) for assistance.
