Keppel Club hosts three-day SGA-SG Coaching course
Eleven dedicated golf coaches gathered at Keppel Club from Feb 24 to 26, 2025, to participate in the SGA-SG Coach Level 1 Golf Coaching (Full Integration) Programme. This course was conducted by the Singapore Golf Association (SGA) to prepare coaches for assessment and certification with the National Registry of Coaches (NROC) under Sport Singapore (SportSG). All the participants were members of Singapore Professional Golf Association (SPGA).
The three-day course integrated theory, technical expertise and sport science. With coaches coming from diverse backgrounds and experiences, the course provided an invaluable platform for professional development.
Participants were introduced to coaching principles and methodologies, gaining insights into new theories while reinforcing their existing knowledge. “Besides theories, we also had meaningful discussions as all the participants shared their personal coaching experiences,” said Coach Razlan Mohammed. Added Coach Peterson Tey, “This course elevated our coaching standard, which in turn, would benefit our students.”
A special “thank you” was extended to Keppel Club from both the participants and facilitators from SGA and SportSG for its warm hospitality in hosting this course.
